Last week, Bemco’s Works division in Rutherglen, Glasgow, celebrated foreman David Murphy’s remarkable 50th anniversary. We had the opportunity to visit the manufacturing facility, capturing the stories that have shaped David and his team’s journey.

David Murphy’s dedication to Bemco is evident not only in his 50 years of service but also in his commitment to training the next generation of skilled workers. Last year, he welcomed three new apprentices into the division, echoing his own journey as an apprentice when he first joined the company. This focus on mentorship and skills development ensures that Bemco’s legacy of excellence will continue for years to come.

To mark this special occasion, Simon Barkes, our Company Director, visited the Works last week to join the team in a celebratory lunch. He emphasised the vital role that employees like David play in Bemco’s success and expressed his gratitude for David’s 50 years of dedicated service on behalf of the company.
